LAKEISHA COFFEY

Lakeisha is a Raleigh resident who has performed in productions focusing on health issues including 2nd Chances for HIV/AIDS awareness and education and Act Trinity’s Diagnosed for colon and breast cancer detection and treatment. Stage credits include The Overwhelming, Best of Enemies, Spirits to Enforce (Manbites Dog Theatre); Boston Marriage (Ghost and Spice Theatre Company); A Raisin in the Sun (RLT). Lakeisha was part of the original cast of North Carolina’s native Samm-Art Williams’ The Waiting Room (Raleigh Little Theatre). She has appeared in Butterfly Wings: Claudine’s Story, Not In This House, and Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child, each focused on ministry. Lakeisha has appeared in independent films and commercials and through artistic dance she interpreted the thoughts and feelings of characters in The Amistad Saga Reflections and Anatomy of a Woman Abused at the African American Cultural Complex in Raleigh.
