Jeff Alguire

Jeff trained at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, spent seven years working with some of Chicago's finest Off-Loop theatre companies, and now lives and performs in the Triangle. Torry Bend

Torry is a set designer and puppet artist. Her set designs include: The Lower D’s, The Miser, The Laramie Project, A Doll's House (Duke University); Circle Course (recently performed in Katmandu); Body Politic (Echo Theater); Pygmalion (Southwest Shakespeare Co); Agamemnon (Getty Villa); and References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot (Empty Space Theatre).

Chris Burner

New York credits include A Lie of the Mind, Ring Round the Moon, and Three Sisters. Monica Byrne

Monica is a writer, playwright, and world traveler based in Durham. She is the author of Nightwork (Manbites Dog Theater) and a debut novel, The Girl in the Road. She holds degrees in biochemistry from Wellesley College and MIT. Lakeisha Coffey

Lakeisha is a Raleigh resident who has performed in productions focusing on health issues including 2nd Chances for HIV/AIDS awareness and education and Act Trinity's Diagnosed for colon and breast cancer detection and treatment. Stage credits include J.T. Rogers' The Overwhelming (Manbites Dog Theatre), David Mamet's Boston Marriage (Ghost and Spice Theatre Company), and Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun (RLT). Lakeisha was part of the original cast of North Carolina's native Samm-Art Williams' The Waiting Room (Raleigh Little Theatre).  She has appeared in Butterfly Wings: Claudine's Story, Not In This House, and Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child each focused on ministry. Lakeisha has appeared in independent films and commercials and through artistic dance she interpreted the thoughts and feelings of characters in The Amistad Saga Reflections and Anatomy of a Woman Abused at the African American Cultural Complex in Raleigh. Jeffrey Scott Detwiler

Jeffrey has lived and performed in North Carolina since arriving from Michigan in 1993, and currently lives in Chapel Hill with his wife Lisa and daughter Grace. Thaddaeus Edwards

Thaddaeus is a founding member of New Traditions Theatre. Thaddaeus is an ensemble member of both hands theatre where his credits include the parent project and @ liberty. Jennifer Evans

Jennifer is a Durham native. She attended Durham School of the Arts, danced with American Dance Festival and studied film in LA at AIU-LA. After college she returned to Durham working with local film makers as AD, AC, Location Sound, Location Photography, Gaffer and Crew. She has worked as a venue coordinator for many film festivals such as AFI, LAFF, OUTFEST, GLAAD, and has been on the seasonal staff for The Full Frame Documentary Film Festival for the past five years. Her stage management includes: Brides of the Moon (Common Ground Theatre); Boston Marriage (Ghost and Spice); Prelude to a Kiss (Assistant Stage Manager, Ghost and Spice); Trailer Park Christmas (Common Ground Theatre); Souvenir, The Fantastical Life of Florence Foster Jenkins (Ghost and Spice); Now You See Me, Buddy Cop 2 (Manbites Dog). J Evarts

J is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. Born in Vermont, her life has taken her to the Seattle area, Tampa, Chapel Hill, Long Island, and, thankfully, back to the Triangle. Acting credits include White People (StreetSigns); Ten by Ten in the Triangle 2006 (Carrboro ArtsCenter); piece~meal, the parent project (both hands theater); Act a Lady, Now You See Me (Manbites Dog). Lenore Field

Lenore has been performing in the Triangle since 1995. Skylar Gudasz

Skylar is a musician, actress and writer. She earned her BA in Dramatic Art and Creative Writing from UNC in 2009 and has since then been writing, recording, and touring with her band, Skylar Gudasz and the Ugly Girls, as well as playing flute, guitar, piano and singing with various groups. Most recent stage acting credits include Hector in Troilus and Cressida, Becca in Rabbit Hole, Yitzhak in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. For LG Pig (Actor): What Every Girl Should Know.

Tom Guild

Tom is a Durham native who attended Duke, spent many years in radio, and now runs SoundTrax Recording Studios in Raleigh. Shelby has recently turned his talent for managing data in the field of clinical research to managing the stage for local theater. Jim Haverkamp

Jim is a filmmaker and freelance video editor whose short films have been shown at dozens of festivals across the country, including Chicago Underground, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and the Maryland Film Festival. Greg Hohn

Greg has been a member of Transactors Improv since 1989, serving as the company's executive/artistic director since 1996. His other theater work includes performances with Archipelago, Manbites Dog, Shakespeare & Originals, Temple Theatre, the Ten by Ten Festival (acting and directing), and Long Beach Playhouse. He also works in film, television, radio, and industrial/corporate media (greghohn.net). Greg teaches Applied Improv (AppliedImprovisation.org ) in the MBA program at UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School and in academic settings, corporations, and organizations across the country. He has also taught acting and improv in many different venues, including UNC's MFA acting program. Jane Holding

Jane is a native of Smithfield, NC. She graduated from Swarthmore College and Cambridge and Stanford Universities. Derrick Ivey jhvs

Derrick Ivey has performed, designed, choreographed, and directed for various theater companies throughout the Triangle. Regional acting credits include Jane Eyre, Oh, The Humanity, God's Ear, Mother Courage, Rabbit Hole, How I Got That Story, At the Vanishing Point, The Goat, Suddenly Last Summer, Nixon's Nixon, and Love's Labours Lost. Directing credits include: The Glass Menagerie, Rough Crossing, Deathtrap, Chicago - A Musical Vaudeville, The Zoo Story, The Diary of Anne Frank, Lady Windermere’s Fan, and Oliver; as well as his original stage adaptations of Moliere’s The Doctor in Spite of Himself, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, the Greek myth Antigone, James Barrie’s Peter Pan, and Geoffrey Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales. Derrick will next appear as the Emcee in Cabaret at William Peace Theater. He will also direct and choreograph Gilbert and Sullivan's Iolanthe for the Durham Savoyards. John Jimerson

John trained at Circle in the Square in New York; earned a BA in Theatre from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas; and has trained privately with lots of hoity toity people as well. He has acted in New York, regionally, and on tour, and he's very happy that his career has led to North Carolina. John Justice

John (Board Member, Playwright-In-Residence) is a playwright whose works include Two Sams, Sam/Sara, and How Wisteria Bought the Farm. He is a past awardee of a North Carolina Arts Council playwrighting fellowship and a member of the North Carolina Playwrights Alliance and the Dramatists Guild of America. Tamara Kissane

Tamara is an actor, playwright, and co-artistic director of both hands theatre company. Tamara spends her daytime hours working as program coordinator for Leadership Education at Duke Divinity School and her evenings in Durham with her husband and daughter. Rachel Klem

Rachel is managing director of Ghost & Spice Productions, for which she has directed Six Degrees of Separation, Prelude to a Kiss, A Long Day's Journey into Night, Oleanna, Shirley Valentine, and Road to Nirvana and has appeared in Educating RitaAgnes of God and Brides of the Moon. Rachel has been professionally improvising since she was 18 years old, and can presently be seen performing with Transactors Improv all over the Triangle. She spent seven years in Chicago, where she earned her master's degree in acting from DePaul University's The Theatre School. Chelsea Kurtzman

(Costume Designer-in-Residence) Chelsea is a graduate of The University of North Carolina- Greensboro with a BFA in theatre design and technology concentrated in costuming. Evgenia (Jenny) Madorsky

Alex Maness kjh

Alex is a photographer, filmmaker, and visual artist living in Durham. Tom Marriott

Tom is a native of Buffalo, NY and has been acting and directing in the Triangle for decades. He was a company member of Shakespeare & Originals, where he directed A Mouthfulla Sacco & Vanzetti and Julius Caesar, as well as acted in Crimson and Clover, Hurricane Salad, Cymbeline, Love's Labour's Lost, Prufrock, The Tempest, and the title role in King Lear. Jody McAuliffe

Jody is a director, writer, and translator. Former National Endowment for the Arts Directing Fellow at the Mark Taper Forum and member of the Directing Workshop for Women at the American Film Institute, she has developed and directed new plays at theaters across the country, including South Coast Repertory, Mark Taper Forum, Denver Center Theatre, Sundance Institute, Bay Area Playwrights Festival, Burning Coal Theater, and Manbites Dog Theater. Jody has adapted a number of works including Don DeLillo's Mao II and translated plays from the Russian. Her publications include a novel, My Lovely Suicides, and short fiction in Literary Imagination, Southwest Review, and South Atlantic Quarterly. Carolyn McDaniel

Carolyn is an actor, director, and choreographer. She received her BA in Theater Studies from Duke University in 2009. J. Alphonse Nicholson

Alphonse  is an actor studying at North Carolina Central’s Dramatic Studies Department. Credits include the title role in Howard L. Jay O'Berski

(Artistic Director) Jay is an Associate Artistic Director of Manbites Dog Theater, teaches acting at Duke University, and is a graduate of the Moscow Art Theatre School (MFA in acting). His work has appeared in New York City, Chicago, Seattle, Moscow (Russia), San Miguel Allende (Mexico) and Port-au-Prince (Haiti). His book on Middleton & Rowley's revenge tragedy The Changeling is by Palgrave-MacMillan. He designs sets and lighting, currently under the name Sir Lionel Mouse.

Jules Odendahl-James jg

Jules is a director, dramaturg, and sometimes triple-threat performer. She arrived in North Carolina in 1997 with theater company (Bold Maids Productions, 1996-2003) and MFA (UT-Austin) in hand and has been making theater in the area ever since. Andy Parks

 Andrew is a software engineer by day and a lighting designer by night. He co-designed @ liberty with Steve Tell for both hands theatre company at Liberty Warehouse. Andy is also a guest artist at Durham Academy Upper School. He is technical director at Long Leaf Opera and designed the lighting for the Blitzstein/Weill Cabaret and Argento's delightful A Water Bird Talk at the 2008 Opera Festival in Chapel Hill. Tony Perucci

Tony is a performer, director, writer, and teacher. He is Assistant Professor of Performance Studies in the Department of Communication Studies at UNC. He received his Ph.D. in Performance Studies from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, and has trained with SITI, Goat Island, and Mary Overlie. Tony has directed his original and adapted performance pieces in Chicago , San Francisco, Los Angeles, and locally. He is a founding member of The Performance Collective in Chapel Hill, for whom he directed The Activist and created and performed in Sterilize. At UNC, he has directed his original works: Double Indemnity: A Poem of Tabloid Murder, Stand!: Remembering Paul RobesonAnnotation of a Funky Breakdown, and Eating Animals. Recent acting/movement work includes: Now You See Me (Manbites Dog); Cannibal Cheerleaders on Crack (Torso); Beckett's A Piece of Monologue (CSUN); O QUE SE VIU QUE VOCÊ VÊ (Opovoempé); Buy Me! Lucius Robinson

Lucius recently received his B.A. in Performance Studies where he was the recipient of an award for Outstanding Achievement in Live Performance.

Dan Sipp

Dan has performed in the Triangle since 1988 as a member of Transactors Improv Company. He now serves as the company's artistic director. He also performed, studied and directed improvisation in Chicago for eight years and currently teaches at Raleigh Little Theater. Jordan Smith

Jordan (Board Member) is a retired UNC professor who has appeared in hundreds of Triangle productions over the years. Recent appearances include The Tempest, Cymbeline, Love's Labour's Lost, and Hurricane Salad (Shakespeare & Originals); White People and The Miser (StreetSigns); Tomorrowland (Manbites Dog); An Inspector Calls and Eye of God (Peace College). Geraud Staton

Geraud is a local oil painter and actor. Set designs include Wine in the Wilderness (NTT), the parent project (both hands) and The Pillowman (Manbites Dog). Steve Tell

Steve (Lighting Designer-In-Residence) is an electrical engineer and IC chip designer in Chapel Hill by day. After hours, he enjoys working with other creative people to conjure magic in the theatre. Recent lighting designs include: Abigail's Party (Party Girl), Brilliant Traces (Self-Induced Theatre Project), Ancient History (Glass House), A Moon for the Misbegotten and Private Lives (Deep Dish Theater), and Faust and The Tempest (Shakespeare and Originals). Steve's interests outside the theatre include dancing Argentine tango and writing free software. Alice Rose Turner

Alice is a North Carolina native and received her BFA in acting from Elon University. Amaris Whitaker

Amaris is a 2009 graduate of Duke University. Mike Wiley lh

Mike Wiley has a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is the 2010 Lehman Brady Visiting Joint Chair Professor in Documentary Studies and American Studies at Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to his numerous school and community performances, he has also appeared on Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel and National Geographic Channel and has been featured in Our State magazine and on PBS’ North Carolina Now and WUNC’s The State of Things. His play The Parchman Hour was featured as part of the Playmaker's Repertory 2011-2012 season. For LG Pig: (Actor) Jade City Chronicles Vol. 1.

Allen Wilcox

Allen (Board Member) has a long history in theater dating back to a deeply-felt PTA recitation of Antonio at age nine. Most fans agree that his thespian high-water mark was a series of Halloween shows on Watts Street in which (miraculously) none of the actors was permanently injured. He now contents himself with encouraging the talent of those who have some. His day job is as an epidemiologist.

Claire Wilcox

Claire (Board Member) Claire's third-grade recitation of "Trees" by Joyce Kilmer launched a spotty theatrical career that includes bumbling lines in a junior high school play and providing backstage work for several Watts Street Halloween productions. Ever the cheerleader, she has long enjoyed supporting the thespian activities of her parents in community theatre and prefers contributing offstage to the highly talented local troupes. She practices radiology most days.

Jamie B. Wolcott

Jamie B. Wolcott is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York, and has been making a living as a poster artist and illustrator for 15 years, working with many talented musicians including John Prine and Emmylou Harris. She and her family have relocated to North Carolina in search of space, oxygen and a good school for their daughter. For LG Pig: (Animator) Jade City Chronicles Vol. 1.
