Jeff Alguire

Jeff Alguire trained at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, spent seven years working with some of Chicago's finest Off-Loop theatre companies, and now lives and performs in the Triangle. Danny Bischoff

Karen Burns

Karen Burns is a designer, actress, and budding psychologist with a BA in psychology and political science from Duke University. Acting credits include Once Upon a Mattress, The Vagina Monologues, The Information Desk and Misterioso (Duke University). SM/ASM credits include Dying City, At the Vanishing Point (Manbites Dog); Into the Woods, Loyal Women, and Three Movements (Duke University). Flynt Burton

Flynt Burton is an actor/director/playwright who received her MFA in Acting from the University of Nebraska Lincoln. Prior to that she attended UNC-CH and the NC School of the Arts. She has spent the last four summers acting with SART (Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre) near Asheville, NC. Flynt has trained in Russia, Bulgaria and performed in the UK. She most recently performed at the William Inge Theatre Festival in Independence, KS. All-time favorite roles include Nina in The Seagull and Alice in Patrick Marber's Closer. Monica Byrne

Monica is a writer and actor living in Chapel Hill. Recent acting credits include: Happy New Years From Hell, The Elephant Man (Delta Boys); as well as Sweeney Todd and The Vagina Monologues. She holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Wellesley College and a master's degree in geobiology from MIT. Monica has worked for NASA and NPR, and is also a licensed pilot and certified yoga instructor. She is also the recipient of a Stevens Fellowship, which means that next year, she's headed to Ethiopia, India and the South Pacific to work on a novel. Joseph Callender

Joseph is a stand-up comedian, print model and firefighter in Raleigh. He's earned Best Actor nominations from Raleigh Little Theater's Sutton Awards twice for A Raisin In the Sun and Intimate Apparel (RLT). For LG Pig: (Actor) Goin' a Buffalo.

Dorrie Casey

Dorrie Casey is a writer, singer, and gardener who is addicted to 5-minute-or-less art projects. She would rather take part in and/or attend theatrical events than eat. Dorrie grew up in Maine, attended Catholic school, and survived both of the above. She lives blissfully in Chatham County with her husband, Archie Purcell. Cheryl Chamblee

Cheryl Chamblee is a Durham-based actor, director, and playwright. As co-artistic director of both hands theatre company, she has co-written and directed piece-meal, brooms* a play about saying yes, exactly what t(w)o do, and the parent project. Credits include: The Fall to Earth and The Last Two Minutes of the Complete Works of Henrik Ibsen (Manbites Dog) and work with Theater Previews at Duke, both hands, and Shakespeare & Originals. Ava Christie

Gigi DeLizza recently appeared in the original musical The Christmas Letters (Ride Again Productions) based on the writing of Lee Smith. Credits include: Abigail's Party (Party Girl Productions), Proof (Hot Summer Nights at the Kennedy Theatre), The Man Who (Manbites Dog), Cold Kill (New World Stage). Donnis Collins

Donnis Collins is a recent graduate of Shaw University and has received a BA in theatre with a concentration in performance. Donnis has appeared in many of Shaw University's productions, including A Midsummer Night's Dream, A Chorus Line, and Venus (in collaboration with Raleigh Ensemble Players), as well as The Story (Raleigh Little Theatre). Jeffrey Scott Detwiler

Jeffrey Scott Detwiler has lived and performed in North Carolina since arriving from Michigan in 1993, and currently lives in Deep Chatham with his wife Lisa and daughter Grace. Jeffrey was a member of Chapel Hill's The Somnambulist Project and was managing director for Shakespeare & Originals Theatre Company. Marcia Edmundson

Marcia Edmundson appeared most recently in The Fall to Earth (Manbites Dog) and The Exonerated (Deep Dish). In spring 2007, she will appear in At the Vanishing Point (Manbites Dog). Thaddaeus Edwards

Thaddaeus Edwards is a founding member of the Alternative Perspective Theatre Ensemble. Credits include The Last Two Minutes of the Complete Works of Henrik Ibsen (Manbites Dog); the Fifth Annual Ten by Ten in the Triangle Play Festival; and the parent project (bothhands). Sophie Eisdorfer

Sophie Eisdorfer graduated from Chapel Hill High School where she was active in the drama department, appearing in productions such as On the Verge, You Can't Take It With You, Ragtime, and A Streetcar Named Desire. Other acting credits include Wanda's Visit (One Song Productions) and The Autumn Garden (Community Teen Theater). She will be a first-year student at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU in the fall. Sarah Erickson

Sarah Erickson attended Interlochen Arts Academy and currently studies drama and literature at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. J Evarts

J Evarts is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. Born in Vermont, her life has taken her to the Seattle area, Tampa, Chapel Hill, Long Island, and, thankfully, back to the Triangle. Acting credits include White People (StreetSigns); 10 x 10 in the Triangle 2006 (Carrboro ArtsCenter); and piece~meal and the parent project (both hands theater). Jason Fagg

Jason Fagg is the company photographer and designer for LG Pig. As a musician, Jason performs neo-traditional music with The Watercallers and produces hip-pop with Snuggle Factor 10. One of Jason's songs, "The Distant City," aired on CSI:NY last October. He also made a foray into film acting in Josh Gibson's movie The Siamese Connection. Lenore Field

Lenore Field has been acting for close to 30 years, including 12 in the Triangle. Credits include: Abigail's Party (Party Girl Productions); Agnes of God, A Long Day's Journey into Night, and Shirley Valentine (Ghost & Spice Productions); A Little Night Music, All's Well That Ends Well, and Luminosity (PlayMakers Repertory Company). Jim Haverkamp

Jim Haverkamp is a filmmaker and freelance video editor whose short films have been shown at dozens of festivals across the country, including Chicago Underground, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, and the Maryland Film Festival. Katja Hill

Katja Hill has appeared most recently in Orson's Shadow (Deep Dish) and The Last Two Minutes of the Complete Works of Henrik Ibsen (Manbites Dog). Camera credits include Prague Spring and I and I. Laine Hindley

Aneitra Hoggard

Aneitra Hoggard is a native of Raleigh, NC and goes to Duke University. Fairly new to the acting scene, she has been involved in the arts ranging from her first love, singing, to ballet. Earlier this year she debuted in New Traditions Theater's Scene Tasting in Chekhov's Three Sisters. For LGP: (Actor) Goin' a Buffalo.

Greg Hohn

Greg Hohn has been a member of Transactors Improv since 1989, serving as the company's executive/artistic director since 1996. His other theater work includes performances with Archipelago, Manbites Dog, Shakespeare & Originals, Temple Theatre, the 10x10 Festival (acting and directing), and Long Beach Playhouse. He also works in film, television, radio, and industrial/corporate media (greghohn.net). Greg teaches Applied Improv (AppliedImprovisation.org) in the MBA program at UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School and in academic settings, corporations, and organizations across the country. He has also taught acting and improv in many different venues, including UNC's MFA acting program. Jane Holding

Jane Holding is a native of Smithfield, NC. She graduated from Swarthmore College and Cambridge and Stanford Universities. Leigh Lester Holmes

Leigh Lester Holmes made her theatrical debut in North Carolina playing Iris in the both hands production of brooms: a play about saying yes. Hope Hynes Love

Hope Hynes has been a theater educator in the Triangle for 10 years. She is the theater artistic director at East Chapel Hill High School, and held the same position at C.E. Jordan High since 1996. She has appeared as an actress with Burning Coal Theatre, Deep Dish Theater, and Shakespeare & Originals. Hope is co-founder and managing director of First Circle Ensemble Players, a theater company whose mission is to provide novice artists of all ages their first professional experience. Credits as a director include Eye of God (Peace College) and Boy Gets Girl (Deep Dish), both of which were recognized by the News & Observer as top 10 regional productions in 2004. Joan J

Joan J is an actress, teacher, playwright, poetess, and an army veteran who has performed for stage, film, television, and radio. Credits include The Old Settler (Raleigh Little Theater), Stop Kiss (Manbites Dog), Death of Papa (Playmakers Repertory), Ain't Supposed to Die a Natural Death (Classical Theater of Harlem), Bye Bye Blackbirds (Harlem Theater Company), The Diva and the Rapper (National Black Theater, NYC), The Amen Corner (Cincinnati Stage), Sty of the Blind Pig (University Theater, NC), Of Mules and Men (Kennedy Center), A Long Last Poem (National Black Theater Festival). Joan has written and published a children's play, It's in the Book. She has worked for 10 years in public affairs and media as a journalist, as a TV reporter/producer, and in radio, while serving her country in the United States Army. Byron Jennings II

Byron Jennings II is a graduate of NC State University. Acting credits include piece-meal and the parent project (both hands theatre), Permanent Collection (Deep Dish), and Blue (Raleigh Little Theatre). Melanie Lois Johnston

Lormarev Jones

Lormarev Jones is an actor, singer, dancer/choreographer, and stage manager with a B.A. in Theatre and a minor in Dance from Meredith College. Recent credits include columbinus, Poona the Fuckdog and Other Plays for Children, and Bury the Dead (Raleigh Ensemble Players); and All In The Timing (Ghost & Spice). John Justice

John Justice (Board Member, Playwright-In-Residence) is a playwright whose works include Two Sams, Sam/Sara, and How Wisteria Bought the Farm. He is a past awardee of a North Carolina Arts Council playwrighting fellowship and a member of the North Carolina Playwrights Alliance and the Dramatists Guild of America. Tamara Kissane

Tamara Kissane made a happy return to North Carolina in March 2006 after many years of moving about the country. She is an actor, playwright, and co-artistic director of both hands theatre company (www.myspace.com/bothhandstheatre). Tamara spends her daytime hours drinking Diet Coke and working as an event planner at the Duke Divinity School. For LG Pig: Europe Central; (Playwright) Up Styx Creek.

Rachel Klem

Rachel Klem is managing director of Ghost & Spice Productions, for which she has directed A Long Day's Journey into Night, Oleanna, Shirley Valentine, and Road to Nirvana and has appeared in Educating Rita and Agnes of God. Rachel has been professionally improvising since she was 18 years old, and can presently be seen performing with Transactors Improv all over the Triangle. She spent seven years in Chicago, where she earned her master's degree in acting from DePaul University's The Theatre School. Frank Lentricchia

Frank Lentricchia is a novelist, editor and literary critic. In the late 80s and early 90s he jumped into theater at Duke, as a co-founder with Jody McAuliffe of Readers Theater, and as an actor in Tom Cole's Medal of Honor Rag, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Yussef el Guindi's An Earful of Lickings. In April of '08, he made a return to theater in a scene from Pinter's One for the Road for a Traction's Wrath of the Superdelegates. Chaunesti Lyon

Chaunesti Lyon is a proud Durham native who has worked with several area theater companies over the past six years. Credits include: Beautiful Thing (Raleigh Ensemble Players), The Story (Raleigh Little Theater), and Sonnets for an Old Century (Manbites Dog). She also appeared as the "Blue Legged Girl" in the independent film Anyuta and on television in Nuestro Barrio. Chaunesti has a BA in communications studies from UNC-G. Dana Marks

Dana Marks (Managing Director) is a graduate of the American Repertory Theatre/Moscow Art Theatre Institute for Advanced Theater Training and has performed across the U.S., Russia, Italy, and Germany. Jackie Marriott

Jackie Marriott has appeared in many productions in the Triangle for the past 10 years and was recognized in The Independent Weekly's Best of Theater for A Lesson Before Dying (2004) and The Story (2005). Jackie has been awarded Raleigh Little Theater's 2005-2006 Cantey Award for Best Supporting Actress. A Danzacting Workshop at Playmaker's Repertory with Tony Award-winner Trezana Beverly led to a role in Salome. Tom Marriott

Tom Marriott is a native of Buffalo, NY, and has been acting and directing in the Triangle for decades. He was a company member of Shakespeare & Originals, where he directed A Mouthfulla Sacco & Vanzetti and Julius Caesar, as well as acted in Crimson and Clover, Hurricane Salad, Cymbeline, Love's Labour's Lost, Prufrock, The Tempest, and the title role in King Lear. Acting credits include Endgame, The Price, and Moon for the Misbegotten (Deep Dish). Directing credits include Abigail's Party and Who's Afraid Of Virginia Woolf (Party Girl). He lives in Chatham County with his wife Alice. Bart Matthews

Jody McAuliffe

Jody McAuliffe is a director, writer, and translator. Former National Endowment for the Arts Directing Fellow at the Mark Taper Forum and member of the Directing Workshop for Women at the American Film Institute, she has developed and directed new plays at theaters across the country, including South Coast Repertory, Mark Taper Forum, Sundance Institute, Bay Area Playwrights Festival, Burning Coal Theater, and Manbites Dog Theater. Jody has adapted a number of works including Don DeLillo's Mao II and translated plays from the Russian. Her first novel, My Lovely Suicides, is due out in 2007 from Ravenna Press, and her short fiction has appeared in Literary Imagination, Southwest Review, and South Atlantic Quarterly. With a joint appointment in theatre studies and Slavic and Eurasian studies at Duke University, she is a recipient of Duke's Trinity College Distinguished Teaching Award and a graduate of the Yale School of Drama. Gregor McElvogue

Gregor McElvogue is a British national who grew up in Singapore and trained at London's Central School of Speech and Drama. He holds a BA in drama and film as well as an MBA. Credits include: Lilies, Oleanna, Lend Me a Tenor, A People's History of the US, and 1776. Gregor appears in Agafya, a film by Christian McIllwain, and has narrated Antarctica: A Storybook Album by the band The Never. Mark Jeffrey Miller

Mark Jeffrey Miller was a founding member of Transactors Improv Co. In addition to stage roles in The Man Who (Manbites Dog) and Abigail's Party (Party Girl) he has had principal roles in over 50 film and television productions, including Cold Mountain, Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood, Runaway Jury, Bolden and John Adams. Holmes Morrison

Holmes Morrison has performed with many Triangle theatres including Playmakers Repertory, Burning Coal, Theatre in the Park, and most frequently, The Towne Players in Garner (also serving on their board of directors). Before moving to the Triangle, Holmes gained valuable experience with professional and community theaters in New York and New Jersey, including New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, McCarter Theatre Training Wing (Princeton, NJ), Westside Repertory Theatre (NYC), and Bickford Theatre (Morristown, NJ). Sean Murnane

Emma Nadeau

Emma Nadeau has participated in all aspects of theatre from a young age: acting, choreographing, directing, stage managing, teaching, producing, and generally enjoying. She got her BA from Oberlin, where she majored in biology and spent all of her time doing theater. Jay O'Berski

Jay O'Berski (Artistic Director). Michael O'Foghludha (Board Chair). Elizabeth Phillips

Elizabeth Phillips is a student at UNC-CH double majoring in Dramatic Art and English. Recent acting credits include: Dead Man Walking, Balm in Gilead, The Lady from the Sea (UNC Mainstage), Cymbeline, Julius Caesar, The Jewish Wife, Happy New Years from Hell (Delta Boys). She has served as UNC's Playwriting Studio producer for two years. This summer she will be studying at the MXAT Stanislavsky Summer School at Cambridge. For LG Pig: (Actor) Fistful Of Love.

Nicole Quenelle

Nicole Quenelle is an actor, writer, yogi, and aspiring movement teacher. She has trained with some inspiring acting and movement teachers in North Carolina and New York, including Anne Bogart and Saratoga International Theater Institute (Siti Company - NYC). Nicole has appeared with Shakespeare & Originals, both hands, Dog & Pony Show, Deep Dish Theater, Flying Machine, Burning Coal, Peace College, Arts NC State, ArtsCenter, Streetsigns, and her own Self-Induced Theater Project. In 2007, she will be teaching movement workshops for actors and other expressive types. She is web writer/dramaturg for the LG Pig web site. Adrienne Quick-Wright

Adrienne Quick-Wright (Board Member) is a native of Durham and loves being "behind the scenes" of local theatrical productions. When not rehearsing lines with her hubby (fellow LGP member LaMark Wright) she enjoys doing "girl stuff" with her daughter or planning social events. Adrienne holds an M.B.A. from N.C. Central University and coordinates meetings and conferences for a local non-profit during the day.

Rajeev Rajendran

Rajeev Rajendran is a writer who studied drama at NC School of the Arts. Acting credits include: The Elephant Man, Happy New Year From Hell (Delta Boys); Quad (Single Shot Productions). For LG Pig: (Actor) Fistful Of Love.

Lamont Reed

Lamont Reed has been living in the Triangle for the past five years. When not day-jobbing, he is generally rehearsing for or performing in a show. He has great aspirations to attend grad school in the fall of 2008 and wants to eventually become a theatre scholar. Lucius Robinson

Lucius Robinson is a Delta Boy and a student at UNC-Chapel Hill. Acting credits include: The Pillowman, A People's History Of The United States (Manbites Dog Theater); Loose Lips Sink Ships, Julius Caesar, Faust, The Tempest (Shakespeare and Originals); Hamlet, The Love Song Of J. Adam Sampieri

Adam Sampieri is a native of northern New Jersey and a graduate of Duke University, where he received a BA in English and his certification in secondary teaching from the State of North Carolina in 2003. Acting credits include: The Man Who, Trust, Macbeth, Julius Caesar, The Who's Tommy, The Cmpleat Wrks of Wilm. Shkpr. (Abridged), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and The Donkey Show: A Midsummer Night's Disco (NC premiere). Adam has achieved distinction as a director for Hangman (a 2004 Independent Weekly Best Production), Godspell, and Two Rooms. His plays Table Work, Project Perception, The Cure, and Holidaze have been performed in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Steffon Sharpless

Dierde Shipman

Eddy Shipman

Eddy Shipman has been acting in the Shakespeare/Barnum tradition throughout North America for nearly 40 years. He has plied his proletarian skill in the trades for several local theatre companies, including the cryptic Durham Savoyards and the plucky both hands theatre. His last actual legitimate public performance was an uncredited appearance in the 1994 film The Cowboy Way. For LG Pig: (Actor) In the Doghouse: The Execution of Dostoevsky.

Jordan Smith

Jordan "Coach" Smith (Board Member) is a retired UNC professor who has appeared in hundreds of Triangle productions over the years. Recent appearances include The Tempest, Cymbeline, Love's Labour's Lost, and Hurricane Salad (Shakespeare & Originals); White People and The Miser (StreetSigns); Tomorrowland (Manbites Dog); An Inspector Calls and Eye of God (Peace College). Geraud Staton

Geraud Staton is an actor and set designer, and is one of the founding members of New Traditions Theatre. Acting credits include: Wine in the Wilderness, and Native Son (NTT). Steve Tell

Steve Tell (Lighting Designer-In-Residence) is an electrical engineer and IC chip designer in Chapel Hill by day. After hours, he enjoys working with other creative people to conjure magic in the theatre. Recent lighting designs include: Abigail's Party (Party Girl), Brilliant Traces (Self-Induced Theatre Project), Ancient History (Glass House), A Moon for the Misbegotten and Private Lives (Deep Dish Theater), and Faust and The Tempest (Shakespeare and Originals). Steve's interests outside the theatre include dancing Argentine tango and writing free software. Shana Tucker-Williams

Shana Tucker-Williams is originally from New York and transplanted to the Triangle in 2003. Her current full-time hustle is in freelance graphic designer. She lives in Knightdale with her husband, Vaughn, and boys, Sebastian & Nasir. For LG Pig: (Musician) Europe Central.

G. Douglas Vuncannon

G. Douglas Vuncannon is a visual artist and composer who has worked as a freelance photographer and writer. His short experimental documentary films have been screened at numerous film festivals in the United States and Canada. In 2000, the Durham Arts Council awarded him an Emerging Artist Grant. His photography and writings have appeared in The Independent Weekly, Practical Ontology, and Cincinnati CityBeat. He teaches photography at the Center for Documentary Studies. Wil Weldon

Born and reared in Thomasville, NC, he spent four years at Duke University before leaving Durham in 1997 for the Left Coast. Back again and loving the Triangle's treasures, Wil has recently completed a Master's degree in Journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill and works as a freelance videojournalist. His last completed documentary is My Brother a Muslim and he's currently working on a new profile documentary of Reynolds Price. For LGP: (Actor) Goin' a Buffalo.

Kit Wienert

Kit Wienert (Board Member) is a native of Baltimore, graduate of Bard College, and resident of Chapel Hill who works as a writer and web content manager for RTI International. He has written and published five books of poems and composed music for theater productions by Shakespeare & Originals, Deep Dish, Burning Coal, Open Door, and Manbites Dog. Allen Wilcox

Allen Wilcox (Board Member) has a long history in theater dating back to a deeply-felt PTA recitation of Antonio at age nine. Most fans agree that his thespian high-water mark was a series of Halloween shows on Watts Street in which (miraculously) none of the actors was permanently injured. He now contents himself with encouraging the talent of those who have some. His day job is as an epidemiologist.

Claire Wilcox

Claire Wilcox (Board Member) Claire's third-grade recitation of "Trees" by Joyce Kilmer launched a spotty theatrical career that includes bumbling lines in a junior high school play and providing backstage work for several Watts Street Halloween productions. Ever the cheerleader, she has long enjoyed supporting the thespian activities of her parents in community theatre and prefers contributing offstage to the highly talented local troupes. She practices radiology most days.
